At least so far...
To say Nintendo's happy hybrid console has had a great year is an understatement. The Nintendo Switch in 2022 is a show-stopper!
While technically PC gamers have had it pretty good this year as well, we are just going to be focusing on console gaming here (yes I know From Software's Elden Ring is amazing). The Switch as far as consoles go, has had huge releases back to back to back!
So let's talk about the Switch in 2022

Which are worth picking up?
All first party games so far have been reviewed and received fairly positive, if you are looking for exclusives to the console, Pokemon Arceus Legends and Kirby and the Forgotten Kingdom are must-buys if you are a fan of either series. Pokemon has a brand new fantastic open world style, set back in time in the Pokemon universe, making the game feel fresh and interesting for long time fans and newcomers alike. Kirby makes a first into a 3D world setting, as most prior Kirby adventures were set in a 2D or 2.5D space. The others should not be skipped out entirely and are at least worth a look to see if they my yield some family fun!
The third party line up is stellar as well, with a huge amount of great game collections, remakes and remasters, as well as the indie darling Eastward, getting a physical release. While it has been a fantastic year for gaming as a whole, it has been extra special for patrons of Nintendo's whimsical little handheld! Plenty of fantastic upcoming games, and dozens of of pre existing games, all in a budget friendly package, make it the hot stop for gaming in 2022!
